This handmade tapestry, titled Chitrkaar-II, is a tribute to M.F. Hussien, one of India’s most well-known artists of the 20th century. ‘Chitrakaar’ which means an artist, is inspired by Hussien’s self-portrait. It presents a juxtaposition of matching and contrasting colors to create a stunning visual impact. A lush snow-white mane and beard are trademarks of Hussien who is said to have always walked barefoot. The detailing in the tapestry makes it a rare collector’s item for the fans of Hussien.
