This tapestry titled Saadgi (innocence) depicts a village girl from the northern belt of India. Her innocent hazel eyes strike an instant connect with the viewer. A sheer scarf covers her bosom and head, revealing a swan-like neck. A big maang-teeka adorns her forehead. Earthy hues are ambitiously incorporated to lend this tapestry an ethereal and timeless quality. This embroidered heirloom took three months in the making.
