But it does bring about some weird eventualities, some deep ironies, and some productive life lessons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Concern about the virus has permeated every part of people\u2019s lives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Humour is essential at times like these because it stops your body from getting into the fight-flight-freeze mode\u200a\u2014\u200aa selfish, self-protective state where you literally lose the capability to think or have empathy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No wonder they say that gallows humor is the last-ditch comfort of a healthy human brain. As long as they aren\u2019t stoking racial tensions or spreading misinformation, it\u2019s hard to begrudge anyone a coronavirus quip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides, a creative release is a legitimate way to go out (during self-quarantine) by turning in. Jokes are a way of temporarily triumphing over tension, and turning it into inspiration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sure, there\u2019s plenty to worry about, but there\u2019s also plenty to be thankful for. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to electronic communication, we can draw strength from one another and cope better with these unprecedented times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So let\u2019s look at the sunnier side of life, expand our intellectual horizons, and take life one day at a time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s worthwhile to remember that you cannot pour from an empty cup; you can give love only when you feel love. We\u2019re all in this together. And the power of together is infinite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
