This tapestry, titled Lugubrious, gets its name from the melancholic virtuosity in the forlorn green eyes of a young Afghan man whose photograph caught Puja\u2019s attention for its endearing expression. A rich floral turban woven with colourful threads of culture and tradition adorns the man\u2019s head. Skilled shading techniques lend this tapestry a unique three-dimensional look which is challenging to achieve in hand-embroidery, without using a stencil or graph. A stunning background adds to the look of this heirloom, which took Puja almost seven months of painstaking effort to complete.<\/p>\n
